Well, it is that special time during Julie Patterson Photographys senior week, where we highlight the Class of 2019! This beautiful lady came out on Tuesday's model call in Downtown Northville, Michigan! We had so much fun! Now lets get to know Madison from Farmington High School! She is Marching Band, andplays the Alto Sacophone and is on the varsity lacrosse team! This year she received the Brykalski Coolman Award. Madison explained to me how receiving this award works. Nominees are selected by the students teachers. They are chosen for their achievements in sports, athletics and school. The entire junior class votes on who should receive it, and Madison received it! She also qualified for BPA states (business professionals of America) and DECA States in both of those competitions!
After graduation, Madison would like to work at a Diabetes Camp during the summer, possibly out in California or New York. Madison has type one diabetes, and was fortunate enough to attend on of those camps and was able to have fun and find a great community of diabetics. She hopes to help others have a great experience as a camp counselor. Madison also plans to attend Michigan State University (fingers crossed!!), and is hopeful to study something in the realm of human services or social work.
Madison would love to travel to Ireland one day and dreams of hiking the beautiful valleys and mountains. She would love to discover her roots that originate from there. When I asked her to share a goal with me she said, "My goal is to always be compassionate and kind to everyone, no matter who it is. I think it’s very natural for humans to judge (it’s natural!) but my goal is to judge less and accept everyone for who they are."
In her free time, she enjoys hammocking (girl after my own heart), reading poetry, and eating food because honestly who doesn't like food! Speaking of food her favorite is Pad Thai!
I also asked Madison if she could meet anyone in the world who would it be and why. She said," I would like to meet my Grandma Hales because she passed away before I was born. I’ve heard stories about her cooking Italian food, and being such a kind mother. I supposedly look like her too! Just to sit down and have a conversation about her life and who she was would be so cool."
Now that you have gotten to know a little about Madison check out a few of her favorite images in Downtown Northville!
